Our annual piano masterclasses with Jian Liu took place on the
morning of 11th August in the Adam Concert Room.
Three successful entrants from this year’s Youth Music Festival were invited to participate.
As Rachel pointed out in her closing thank you speech, the kind of subtleties that Jian discussed in this class are those that can make the difference between a good performance and a really special one.
We are so grateful to Jian for his insights and wisdom, and for his gentle and encouraging way of working with the students.

On Sunday, 11th August, Dr. Martin Riseley led an inspiring masterclass at Victoria University, guiding three talented violinists Samuel Yuan, Marissa Burnette, and Edgar Watson through their performances.
Martin, a truly virtuosic violinist and head of string studies at Victoria University, shared valuable insights into both technique and musical interpretation.
